I, the happy owner of a small towhouse. Modest house of 2 floors in the city. Something like a suburban zone in a modern interpretation. I even have my own lawn in 1 hundred. In general, a successful housing decision for a family with 2 children. And the opportunity to go out in the evening to ride on your own swing, and arrange Sunday breakfast in the open air, and a school 5 steps, and a store around the corner, and before work a couple of stops on a minibus.

When we purchased the house, we gave children the opportunity to choose their own rooms on their own. The son immediately climbed up and preferred the attic to all other rooms. Although, we thought to equip a game or guest. But, there is a decision, and I began to think about how to make it a broken, small in area, with a beveled ceiling-walls, a room suitable for children’s rest.

I decided that since the geometry is unusual, then the interior style should be special. And chose marine themes. I had to make a cabin for my young captain.

We decorated the walls, ceiling and floor with lining of light wood. The room immediately began to resemble the deck of the ship. I closed two windows in a mowing ceiling with Roman curtains in the form of a soft blue sail. I will say one thing, it is very problematic to fix at least something on such a steep wall. Therefore, I limited myself only in curtains.

We purchased a bed from a dark oak in retro-style with massive drawers and thorough bedside tables. Vertical stripes on the head of the bed, curly handles, the dark color of wood – became a stylistic addition and harmoniously fit into the sea interior.

To create the atmosphere, I bought a bunch of sea gizmos: a large globe, helm, map, telescope, anchor. I placed all this good on the shelves and the rack. I hung a card on one of the straight walls. The student table was placed at the opposite straight wall, literally behind the staircase, the benefit of it is a small window, which made it possible to correctly place the workplace.

Textiles set the necessary accents. Carpet in a dark blue cage, a consonant plaid on the bed, many white pillows – 98 – with marine drawings. And, of course, lamps resembling kerosene form, ships models, lifebuoy and captain’s cap.

I will say one thing, my son was delighted. On the occasion of the move, we presented him a telescope. View from the windows of the attic is grand: starry sky right above the head. Now we enjoy the night landscapes with the whole family.
