Opening a business in Sweden: features and investments

According to the World Bank, Sweden is one of the top ten countries in terms of the object for starting and running a business. This study takes into account the following indicators: forming your own company, hiring and firing employees, fulfilling contracts, availability of credit, and investor safety.

Foreigners have restrictions in choosing the forms of doing business, so they can only create public limited liability companies or joint-stock companies. Starting a business is currently one of the fastest ways to obtain a residence permit in Sweden.

Swedish citizenship by investment

Foreign capital investments in the Swedish economy can guarantee the investor good dividends, but not citizenship. Until the Swedish government develops its own investment program, it is possible to obtain EU citizenship through investment in countries such as Hungary, Cyprus or Malta.
